Rabbi Rafi Kaiserblueth
Rafi
Kaiserblueth was born in Puerto Rico, USA and grew up in Los
Angeles, California. He went to Israel for his first year out of
high school on the Nativ Program and eventually earned a degree in
Military History from Columbia University in New York and a degree
in Talmud from the
Jewish Theological Seminary,
New York concurrently.
Following graduation, he lived and worked in Argentina with the
Jewish community, both in Buenos Aires and in the provinces to the
north. It was during this year of work and immersion that Rafi
decided to apply to Seminary and entered the following year to begin
the process of becoming a rabbi.
While
studying, Rafi also found time to drive an ambulance in Manhattan
and join the United States Navy Chaplain Candidate Program. Rafi was
ordained with a concentration in Pastoral Care as well as a Masters
in Jewish Studies.
Rafi
has been the visiting scholar and residence to
St Albans Masorti Synagogue
since December 2007 and now following ordination, Rafi has taken
over as Rabbi at
St Albans Masorti Synagogue.
Along with his posting at SAMS, he is also a Reserve Chaplain with
the United States Navy Chaplain Corps.
