SAMaJYC “Say Magic”

Say Magic?

That’s what we call the SAMS’ youth charity, SAMaJYC. Its formal name is ‘St Albans Masorti Jewish Youth Charity’.

The charity has been formed in order to allow us to apply for funding from organisations interested in supporting our youth. In summary, the formal objectives of the charity are:

The advancement and promotion of traditional Jewish education in a social and recreational environment for Jewish young people.

Our aim is to obtain funding for projects that make a real difference to our young people, the future leaders of our community.

The registered charity (number 1103228) has five trustees as well as a fundraising committee.

In its first year of operation SAMaJYC has obtained pledges totalling some £5,700 in grants, from the Children’s Aid Committee and the Ashdown Trust, and is currently considering other applications.

SAMaJYC does not actively seek individual donations from within the community. The best way you can help us is to inform the fundraising committee of any personal contacts you might have within charitable organisations. Please send us a message at info@e-sams.org.
